JR31 Advisory LLC advises banks, payment companies, financial technology operators and public-sector institutions on growth strategy, product direction and market entry. We are engaged on a fee-for-service basis and deliver written work: strategy, diligence, operating plans.
Four practice areas, each delivered as a defined scope of work under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work.
Market sizing, competitive positioning, pricing architecture and multi-year growth planning for payment and financial technology businesses. Delivered as a board-ready strategy document with a costed implementation sequence.
Independent assessment of a product line, distribution model or acquisition target: unit economics, technical dependencies, distribution feasibility and the specific assumptions on which the business case rests.
Entry strategy for operators moving into a new geography or segment — partner and channel mapping, distribution architecture, licensing and regulatory pathway analysis, and a staged launch plan.
Organisational design, decision rights, product operating cadence and management reporting for companies moving from founder-led execution to institutional process.
Our work concentrates where banking, payments and technology meet.
Merchant acquiring, agent and distribution networks, wallets, settlement and scheme economics.
Digital banking propositions, treasury and FX product lines, and partnership strategy with technology entrants.
Early- and growth-stage companies formalising product strategy, unit economics and go-to-market.
Commercial diligence and market studies for venture, private-capital and development-finance clients.
Engagements are scoped tightly and priced before they begin. Each is governed by a Master Services Agreement with a Statement of Work that names the deliverable, the timeline and the fee. Invoices are due within fourteen days.
We work as an independent contractor, not as an outsourced team. The output of an engagement is a written deliverable and a working session with the people who have to act on it — not an open-ended retainer.
The practice is led by a founder whose background spans institutional foreign exchange trading at a global bank, product leadership at an African financial technology company, and product marketing at a global technology firm, with an MBA from MIT Sloan. That combination is the reason clients engage us: strategy work grounded in how these businesses actually operate.
What we do not do. JR31 Advisory does not hold, receive, transmit or manage client or third-party funds. We do not provide investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, accounting services, insurance, lending, money transmission or any licensed financial service. Our engagements are advisory and consulting services only.
Tell us the decision you are trying to make and the date by which you need to make it. We will respond within two business days with a view on whether we are the right firm and, if so, a scoped proposal.
